Howdini is a character who appears as one of the main antagonists of the episode "Pardon My Wand."

He is a purple fish with a black suit and a red cape with green eyes.
Role in episode
He puts on a magic show that SpongeBob and a reluctant Sandy attend. Sandy is not impressed by his tricks until Howdini uses his wand to transport her into a bubble. Backstage, he gives SpongeBob an autograph with the sponge's pen, asking him to hold his wand, but through some mishaps, the two accidentally drop the items and grab the wrong one, respectively. SpongeBob, with his wand in hand, causes chaos in Bikini Bottom.
Howdini later returns, having detected his wand via GPS, and attempts to slice SpongeBob open for the wand (as the wand is stuck inside SpongeBob), but Sandy fights back with SpongeBob's magic and turns Howdini into a helpless cockroach. When Sandy manages to get the wand out of SpongeBob by shaking and putting fizzy soda and a balloon inside him, she turns Howdini back to normal under the promise he will play nice. Howdini is impressed by her soda and balloon trick and asks Sandy to teach him more about science. He gives up on magic and gives SpongeBob his wand.
