This article is a transcript of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Making Waves" from season 15, which aired on June 20, 2025.

• [The episode opens with a shot of Fred walking to the Krusty Krab. The Krusty Krab explodes. Fred turns around and walks away, his face now badly charred. Pan across the interior of the destroyed Krusty Krab. Squidward, SpongeBob, and Mr. Krabs are on the ground injured.]
• Plankton: That secret formula safe is pretty durable. Maybe dynamite was the wrong choice. [falls to the ground and walks away groaning]
• [SpongeBob sprays Squidward with a fire extinguisher.]
• Mr. Krabs: [sighs] Crew, I need to get away from Plankton for a while. I could really use a vacation. A nice, sea cruise.
• SpongeBob: Ooh! [drops the fire extinguisher on Squidward and runs to get a sailor hat] A cruise! The shuffleboard! The buff- [burps] -et! The sea sickness... Ooh! We can-
• Mr. Krabs: [pinches SpongeBob's mouth shut] Not we, me. [puts the Krusty Krew hat back on SpongeBob] Alone. Cabin for one. Mr. Squidward, rebuild the restaurant! [tosses a hammer to Squidward which lands on his head]
• SpongeBob: What should I do?
• Mr. Krabs: Wish me bon voyag-ie.
• SpongeBob: [gasps, then starts running around Mr. Krabs] Bon voyage, goodbye, farewell, happy trails. [fades to him holding on to Mr. Krabs, crying] Oh, why?! Why do you have to go? [Mr. Krabs breaks free of his grasp] I miss you already. [Mr. Krabs walks on board the cruise ship] Don't leave me! [stops crying] Oh boy! Now I get to help Squidward!
• Mr. Krabs: Looks like my cabin's downstairs. [descends several floors of the ship] How much further down do these decks go? [his elevator stops at a decrepit and chaotic floor] Cabin 237... 2-3-7. Oh, here we go. [enters the cabin] It's tighter than a snail's shell in here! But, at least I got it cheap!
• [The shower door slams open, and Plankton walks out.]
• Plankton: [gasps] Krabs?!
• Mr. Krabs: Plankton?!
• Both: What are you doing here?!
• Mr. Krabs: I'm tryin' to get away from you! This is my cabin! [holds out ticket]
• Plankton: And I'm trying to get away from you! This is my cabin! [holds out ticket]
• Both: [reading the tickets] Double occupancy?
• Mr. Krabs: [sighs] [walks outside] I better not see you, and I better not hear you for this whole cruise! Or so help me Neptune, I'm tossin' your green keister overboard! [slams door]
• Plankton: Oh yeah, well I can slam a hatch too, y'know? [his bath towel is caught in the door and falls off]
• [Fade to Mr. Krabs, now above deck.]
• Rube: Well ahoy there, passenger! I'm Rube, the activities director on this ship. Can I sign you up for our wet and wild waterslide? [shot of complex, imposing waterslide] Amazing, isn't it?
• Mr. Krabs: I don't think- [smash cut to him at the top of the water slide] so...
• Rube: Ooh, you're gonna have fun! You just need a buddy to go down with.
• [Plankton climbs the latter to the top of the slide.]
• Rube: Haha, and here's your buddy now!
• Plankton: Krabs!
• Mr. Krabs: [gasps] Plankton!
• Rube: Oh good, you already know each other! Anchors away!
• Plankton: Wait-
• [Rube pushes them down the water slide. They knock several people off the slide as they go down. They get to the top of the slide.]
• Rube: Say money!
• [Mr. Krabs and Plankton continue down and eventually shoot up to the surface. Mr. Krabs rips their floaties and they descend and they smack into the pool.]
• Plankton: I rebuke you!
• Mr. Krabs: Get away from me-
• [The two are hit by other falling children. Fade to Plankton shuffleboarding. Plankton pushes the disc, with effort.]
• Plankton: Yeah baby, ten points! Plankton wins again! You can't lose when you play alone! [dodges a disc belonging to Mr. Krabs]
• Mr. Krabs: Buzz off, whale food. I'm signed up for this court now!
• Plankton: Go bite a barnacle, I'm booked right now!
• Rube: Oh, fishsticks. I signed you both up for the same time! I hope that won't be a prob'!
• Mr. Krabs: [deviously] Heh heh, no prob.
• Rube: Amazing!
• [Mr. Krabs pushes Plankton across the board with his cue.]
• Plankton: Hey! [smacks into a disc]
• [Mr. Krabs pushes more discs and Plankton starts dodging them.]
• Mr. Krabs: [walks up the board] Heh heh... eh?
• Plankton: Shuffle off Krabs! [slingshots a hot tub toward Mr. Krabs using a volleyball net]
• [Mr. Krabs gasps and tries to run away but gets knocked off the ship by the hot tub. Cut to Plankton on the dancefloor. Mr. Krabs steps on him, then Plankton throws a music disc that severs the string suspending the disco ball, causing it to fall on Mr. Krabs.]
• Plankton: Hah!
• [The disco ball starts to roll, sending everyone into a panic. Cut to Mr. Krabs and Plankton being served dinner. Plankton shoots his mashed potatoes at Mr. Krabs through a straw, and it soon escalates into a food fight. Cut to an exhausted Mr. Krabs and Plankton shoveling coal into a furnace.]
• Rube: The captain says: 'shovelin' coal is what you two maniacs get for causing all trouble on my ship!' So have fun, y'all!
• Mr. Krabs: Thanks a lot, Sheldon! You ruined my vacation! [throws his shovel to the ground, which ricochets and causes several pipes to burst. An alarm goes off]
• Alarm: All hands on deck, we've lost control of the ship! Neptune help us! We're headed straight for an iceberg. Lettuce! Dead ahead!
• [The ship crashes into the lettuce-berg, leaving Plankton and Mr. Krabs alone on a raft.]
• Plankton: I can't believe I'm left here alone... with just you.
• Mr. Krabs: Well I can't believe I'm left here alone with just you too. [picks up some lettuce in the water] Hey, at least we have free salad! [soda can hits him] Ow!
• [The passengers on the cruise ship boo him, as the ship sails away from them.]
• Mr. Krabs: Hey, can you throw down some thousand island dressing?
• Rube: Ahoy there, you two! [swims toward their raft] Now, who's up for a lifeboard trip? [Mr. Krabs and Plankton push him away with their oards] Ow! Okay, maybe next time! [shivering] Brr! The water's so cold, I can barely feel my legs! Amazing! [sinks below the water]
• Plankton: Okay, let's start paddlin'.
• Mr. Krabs: You're goin' the wrong way!
• Plankton: No, this way!
• Mr. Krabs: No! [smacks Plankton with his oar] This way! The right way! [chuckles]
• French Narrator: The next day...
• [Mr. Krabs and Plankton are stuck on an island both with white beards and looking shriveled.]
• Plankton: This way is the right way, eh? Well, this way we're stranded! Hey! Your foot's on my side of the deserted island!
• Plankton: Well, you keep moving the line!
• [Both growl at each other.]
• Rube: Yoohoo! There you two are! [steps from behind tall grass, holding a bike] I've been looking for you all over! I got you both signed up for a bike ride on the beach!
• Plankton: Here's an activity for you! [throws a coconut at Rube, knocking him out]
• Mr. Krabs: Heh heh. Nice throw.
• Plankton: Thanks.
• Mr. Krabs: Hand me that bicycle pump.
• Plankton: What are you doing?
• Mr. Krabs: I'm gonna ride ol' rubber pants outta here! [inflates Rube's pants]
• Plankton: Not without me! [holds onto Rube's ankles as he floats up, along with Mr. Krabs]
• Rube: [wakes up] Oh no! I'm all bloated! Better undo my belt!
• Mr. Krabs and Plankton: [shouting at him to not do it]
• [Rube undoes his belt and deflates, causing him to fly around rapidly in the sky. Mr. Krabs and Plankton fall off.]
• Rube: Ooh! That is brisk on the little piggies!
• [Mr. Krabs and Plankton hit the ground, and SpongeBob comes by with a metal detector.]
• SpongeBob: Ooh, treasure! [dives into the sand, and pushes Mr. Krabs and Plankton out of the sand] Good morning.
• Plankton: SpongeBob?!
• Mr. Krabs: What are you doing here?
• SpongeBob: Oh, I always come to Goo Lagoon to look for treasure! Once, I found a bottlecap!
• Mr. Krabs and Plankton: Goo Lagoon?! [the two scream and run to the top of a hill, and they see Goo Lagoon]
• Mr. Krabs: You said all those sounds were hallucinations!
• [They starts walking down the hill into Goo Lagoon.]
• Plankton: Well, you wouldn't explore the island because of your knees!
• Mr. Krabs: Oh that's it, now I really need a vacation from you!
• Plankton: Not as much as I need one from you!
• French Narrator: One week later...
• [Cut to a shoddily reconstructed Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs is sitting at a table.]
• Mr. Krabs: [yawns] It sure has been quiet around here. [a board falls to the floor behind him]
• Plankton: [in the Chum Bucket] It sure has been boring around here. [hears the doorbell ring] Yello, [gasps] Krabs!
• Mr. Krabs: Plankton!
• Plankton: Whatcha got there behind your back, Eugene?
• Mr. Krabs: Well, I just thought, y'know, might wanna, maybe... take a crack at a... y'know... stealing me formuler?
• [Plankton's eyes glitter and Mr. Krabs's eyes water.]
• Plankton: [pulls out a mace] Give me that!
• [The two start fighting in a dust cloud. SpongeBob soon comes by and notices the secret formula on the ground.]
• SpongeBob: [gasps] What is this doing here? [carries it off to the Krusty Krab and puts in the safe] Safe and sound. [blows off the dust, revealing Mr. Krabs and Plankton inside]
• Rube: [inside the bottle] Ahoy there, you two! Looks like we're all signed up in here for a game of spin the bottle! [the bottles start to spin] Ama-a-a-a-a-z-i-i-i-i-
• [The door to the safe closes.]
